Prodigy’s Mobb Deep brother Havoc was on hand for the ceremony, which took place at the Frank E. Campbell Funeral Chapel on Madison Ave. LL Cool J, Remy Ma, Ice-T, Fat Joe, and 50 Cent also paid their respects. The G-Unit General — who signed the already well-established Mobb Deep to G-Unit Records in 2006 — spoke during the private event.

Among the other bold-faced names spotted heading into the private gathering were rappers Fat Joe, Remy Ma and Havoc, who teamed up with Prodigy to form Mobb Deep.
The service featured a live band, a spoken word performance and eulogies by 50 Cent and others.
“I never spoke at a wake or funeral before but I felt like I had to say something at P’s,” 50 said via Instagram. “Rest In Peace prodigy.”at P's,” 50 Cent said in an Instagram post showing him and Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan at the service.
“Rest In Peace prodigy God Bless.”
Fans lined up for a chance to enter a public funeral. Outside, many recited lyrics to Prodigy’s songs and inside, there was a memorial set up with memorabilia and artwork.
Prodigy died on June 20 after a long battle with sickle cell anemia. “I’m still just fucked up,” Havoc said in the days that followed. “I can’t even listen to ‘Shook Ones’ or any song. I can hardly look at the pictures. People that lost somebody know what I’m talking about.”
