Health Challenge "God Has Healed Me" 

BHR Hollywood Reports.........One month after Bishop Eddie Long frightened his Atlanta-based New Birth Missionary Baptist Church congregation with his shockingly skinny physique, the 63-year-old mega church leader says that he's healed from the "health challenge" that caused his drastic weight loss.

"I've been on a journey and just recalibrating myself," he said. "And like I said, I had some health issues and God has healed me. The manifestation is coming through and we stand in that."

The pastor of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church went on to explain that he was recovering from an "undisclosed health challenge."

It is still unclear whether Long meant he is physically healed, spiritually healed or emotionally healed, and, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, a New Birth spokesperson failed to clarify or comment on his statement.

Long explained to the congregation that God woke him up that morning and told him that some members of his congregation suffered from chronic pain.

"You have to be controlled by painkillers," he said before asking those who were suffering from pain to move into the aisle. "There's a healing balm in there."

During a recent sermon, Long declared, “I have been on a journey, recalibrating myself and like I said, I had some health issues but God has healed me….”

In August, he claimed that his weight loss was the result of an extreme vegan diet. One month later, reports broke that he was hospitalized from an unspecified gastrointestinal cancer, which was
reportedly in stage four.
