 Responds To Lawsuit Filed by His Mother 

BHR Hollywood Reports............Last week, Robbie Montgomery, affectionately referred to as Ms. Robbie on the OWN reality series Welcome to Sweetie Pie's, hit her only son, Tim Norman, with a lawsuit for trademark infringement after he opened his own eatery called TJ’s Sweetie Pie’s NOHO.

In the lawsuit filed last week, Ms. Robbie claims “the fact Defendant Norman is identified as a member of Miss Robbie’s family on the Sweetie Pie’s Show, along with his position on the Show, further increases the potential of causing confusion in the market place,”.

 The restaurateurs suit went on to say claim TJ is damaging her brand because of bad eatery reviews in addition to stealing money from the Montgomery, AL restaurant location.

Norman took to Instagram to defend his name, and vowed to fight to keep open the soul food restaurant he helped build from the ground up.

"I won't sell the Sweetie Pies brand WE built," he wrote. "I REFUSE to let anybody other than OUR people run OUR business. I have nothing but love for my mother but right now we agree to disagree."

Norman ended the public message with the hashtags #DontSellSweetiePies, #ImNotSigning and #DontSellOut.
