Rihanna Host 2nd Annual Diamond Ball (Charity Event) For The Clara Lionel Foundation

The 2015 Diamond Ball (Charity Event) Reached Over $2 Million In Funds

BHR Hollywood Reports....... While we are for Rihanna’s upcoming eighth album, the singer went and hosted a ball Thursday night, the second-annual Diamond Ball, a black-tie fundraising event for her Clara Lionel Foundation.

The charity event, held in honor of her Clara Lionel Foundation, featured a performance from Lionel Richie and was hosted by comedian Kevin Hart, who helped auction off several items including Bono’s electric guitar to benefit the non-profit.

“I’m personally donating $50,000 out of the Kevin Hart back pocket,” said Hart. The auction intended to raise at least $2 million, the amount reached last year, and managed to surpass its goal and hit the $3 million mark.

 In addition, Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, Emily Ratajkowski, and Lionel Richie (who performed) attended.

 Rihanna has not yet Instagrammed any shots from the event, but—rest assured—her Snapchat is chock-full of video footage of Rihanna rocking out to the musical performances, and is definitely recommended watching.

Rihanna, donning a satin Dior gown, was the belle of the ball, which drew special guests including  Zendaya, Justine Skye, Kylie Jenner, and Tyga, as well as Rihanna’s family. Attendees were given cutouts of RiRi’s face at the $3,000 per ticket fete.

“It’s overwhelming to see so many of the people that I care about come together to support a cause that is near and dear to my heart,” she told PEOPLE a few days before the event.

Rihanna, whose eighth album ANTI is still without a release date, launched the Clara Lionel Foundation in honor of her grandparents in 2012.

The goal of the charity is to “improve the quality of life for communities globally in the areas of health, education, arts and culture.
