“I feel like I’m older and want to say what I feel. I don’t want to be censored,” Braxton told The Insider.
The album’s first single is titled “Deadwood” and will be Braxton’s first song to ever have a parental advisory warning label. Braxton recently shot the video for her forthcoming single and gushed over the leading man.
Sex and Cigarettes will be Braxton’s first solo project to release in over seven years. Her previous album, Pulse, released in 2010 on Atlantic Records.
