Judge Hatchett Will Be Representing The Castile Family As Their attorney 

BHR Hollywood Reports........She may be best known as a pretty (and tough) judge on television, but Glenda Hatchett is the real deal.

The famous judge announced that she will be representing the family of Philando Castile to ensure that they get justice in the controversial police shooting.

“I am deeply concerned about what seems to be an epidemic of African-American men being killed by police officers. We have often seemed demonstrations and debates and I raise the critical question, ‘When will there be systemic reform?’ Reform such that, citizens are not in fear of their lives when stopped and questioned by the police,” Hatchett said in a statement.


"Judge Hatchett" ran for almost eight years in syndication until it was canceled in 2008 and has been aired in reruns ever since. It was similar in format to other so-called reality judge shows, like "Judge Judy" and "The

Judge Hatchett 

People's Court."

She is to return in a similar program, "The Verdict With Judge Hatchett," on the Justice Central cable channel later this year.

“Valerie Castile and her family are very passionate and committed to ensuring that Philando’s death is not just another statistic,” Hatchett added.

“She wants her son’s death to mark a time in this country’s history where reform becomes less about rhetoric and more about reality.”

Hatchett served eight years as former chief judge of the Juvenile Court of Fulton County, Georgia, and as host of the nationally syndicated “Judge Hatchett” television program.
