BHR Hollywood Reports............Toronto-born Manuela Testolini, who was married to Prince for five years to 2006, on Friday said she is building a school to honor the memory of the iconic music artist after he was found dead at his recording studio in Minnesota on Thursday.

"I just reached out to him a few days ago to let him know that I was building a school in his honor.

My heart aches that the school will now be built in his memory," Testolini said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter. Prince during the early 2000s kept a home in Toronto after marrying Testolini in 2001.

Prince And Manuela 
"Prince and I had a magical journey together and I loved him immensely," she wrote. "The world knew him as a musical genius — I knew him as a husband, friend and fierce philanthropist," Testolini, who today runs the In a Perfect World Foundation in Los Angeles, added.

In Honoring the person and how much of a role model he was , Manuela Testolini is building a school in his honor.
Prince 

Testolini, who was married to the star told Reports that she already had plans to build the school before his passing and is "heartbroken beyond words" over the news of his death.

Testolini foundation is called In a Perfect World and supports an educational program known as REACH (Rural Education and Community Harmony), which has built 19 schools in some of the world's poorest countries, including Mali, Malawi, Senegal, Burkina Faso, Haiti, Nicaragua and Nepal.

Testolini does not yet know where the school in Prince's honor will be built and says she was previously hoping he would decide that.

The 57-year-old Prince died Thursday at his Paisley Park compound in Chanhassen, Minnesota.
