Work Singer Rihanna Will Be Honored AT The 2016

BHR Hollywood Reports.........BET will honor "Work" singer and all-around cool girl, Rihanna, at the upcoming Black Girls Rick event, which will taped on April 1 and air April 5.

The Grammy Award-winning singer’s fellow 2016 honorees include producer/writer Shonda Rhimes (Shot Caller Award), R&B icon Gladys Knight (Living Legend Award), The Walking Dead actress Danai Gurira (StarPower Award),

 actress/activist Amandla Stenberg (Young, Gifted and Black Award) and Black Lives Matter founders Patrisse Cullors, Alicia Garza and Opal Tometi. Actress Tracee Ellis Ross will host the event.

Founder/CEO Beverly Bond created Black Girls Rock!, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary as a movement and sixth televised broadcast on BET.

 The annual awards gala recognizes the achievements of black female pioneers in art, music, philanthropy and community service.
