Hotline Bling Rapper Drake Has Been Awarded The Key Of Toronto 

BHR Hollywood Reports.....From Degrassi St. to world stage, Aubrey Graham a.k.a Drake will now have symbolic status as key bearer — not that the multiple award-winning artist likely needs it to get into any city establishment anyways.

Tory’s office announced on Twitter they will be handing over the key ;the first of Tory’s term in office ; tomorrow during the NBA all-star celebrity match.

The mayor’s spokesperson said Tory and Drake are expected to take centre court at the Ricoh Coliseum, around 6 p.m.

The “Back to Back” singer met with Tory in his second-floor city hall office last week on Feb. 3.
“They talked quite a bit about Drake’s role in the city and all he’s contributed,” said spokesperson Amanda Galbraith.

 “This is kind of the start of a longer collaboration between the two of them.”

The mayor’s account tweeted: “I knew his name, I knew his face and I knew his music. And we wanted the chance to get to know one another, and talk about the city we love.

In a following tweet: “In our conversations, he told me how he feels about Toronto. He told me what it means to him to be from here, and the role he wants to play.”

The OVO boss isn’t done with this weekend’s NBA festivities. The Toronto Raptors’ Global Ambassador will be in charge of the All-Star Game player intros on Sunday.

“I got my little special twist that I put on it,” he said in a video released by the league. “So I encourage you to tune in early. I’ll see you then.”

The NBA All-Star Game will air Sunday at 8:30 p.m. ET on TNT
