Be Launching A Line Of New Food Products

BHR Hollywood Reports.........The Queen of Soul announced that she will be launching a line of food products that will directly compete with her much speculated music rival Patti Labelle

‘The Queen of Soul’ said in an interview with reporters  that her pies and food products will rival those “other” sweet potato pies.

When asked if she’s tried one of LaBelle’s pies, Franklin said, “No, I haven’t, but Ms. Patti’s gonna have to move that pie to the side!”

Franklin says she’s already met with a food group based in Phoenix to start developing her line of cooked goods. Aside from pies, Franklin says she plans to market and sell chili, gumbo and baked chicken.

The two iconic singers were rumored to have a beef after video surfaced of Franklin appearing to snub Patti LaBelle at the White House.

 However, the Respect singer later said that she and Patti “are cool.”

Ms. Franklin, however, has a lot to live up to. LaBelle's pies did so well at Wal-Mart that it was sold out for nearly a month before the retailer could re-stock them.

Though rumors of a personal beef has lived on for years, the women have yet to confirm. Franklin ambushing LaBelle's food lane, however, may only add more fuel to the fire.
