(CNN News Anchor) Is a new Target of an online petition calling for job removal 

BHR Hollywood Reports.........Don Lemon, African American news anchor for CNN Is a new Target of an online petition, calling CNN to remove him from his job.

The call for Lemon’s ouster is due to his commentary regarding the high school teen who was assaulted by a police officer in a classroom.

Lemon basically said we gotta hear both sides, and was promptly slandered for his troubles.

Jamell Henderson

Jamell Henderson claimed that Lemon “has consistently antagonized and defamed the characteristics of African-Americans on the national scale in his mass communications instead of [stating] the obvious: the challenges that face African-Americans are real and that solutions need to be found.”

Henderson also noted:

Lemon has repeatedly failed to fulfill his responsibility to remain objective and unbiased in his work. As a news anchor, Mr. Lemon’s job is to present the facts to the public, but time and time again, he has presented his opinion as fact -- even when that opinion is contradicted by reality and common sense. That’s unacceptable for a journalist.

 I know that for his field, it wasn't easy to get his name out there, but that he worked hard every day to get to where he is at right now.

 But what concerns me is that Lemon has repeatedly failed his responsibility to remain objective and unbiased in his work.

In short, the Brooklyn College alum wants CNN to fire Lemon because the African-American community has “no confidence in Mr. Lemon’s ability” to simply “call the news” and “not judge, defame or antagonize” the subjects he reports on.

Lemon got quite a huge social media blowback for his comments yesterday on the video of an officer getting in a physical confrontation with a student in a South Carolina classroom. Lemon admitted the video was disturbing, but didn’t go so far enough as to assign blame yet.

He said he wanted to wait for more information to come out, but CNN legal analyst Sunny Hostin shot back that it’s pretty clear from the video that this was excessive use of force. She said, “I don’t need to know more.” Lemon shot back, “As a prosecutor, you should want to know more.”
                           
The petition, which is actually the second of its kind to be created on Change.org in the past year, has over 32,000 signatures. The current goal is 35,000
