BHR Hollywood Reports.........A member of the Sugar Hill Gang, whose pioneering hit "Rapper's Delight" brought hip hop to mainstream audiences 35 years ago,  Tuesday of complications from cancer.


"Big Bank Hank," whose real name was Henry Jackson, died early Tuesday in Englewood, New Jersey, according to David Mallie, who manages the two surviving Sugarhill Gang members.
 The New York native was 57.


"Big Bang Hank" and his bandmates Michael "Wonder Mike" Wright and Guy "Master Gee" O'Brien introduced hip-hop to mainstream audiences with their epic 14-minute anthem that, decades later, still drives listeners to sing along and dance.
