The victim has been identified by police as Bobby Ray Stewart, a 47-year-old black male. No home address was given.
Around 11:40 p.m. Saturday, Columbus police responded to the 3386 Buena Vista Road club where they found a man suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He later died at Midtown Medical Center.
Police said Sunday morning in a release that there are no known suspects at this time.
The man's body will be sent for autopsy in Atlanta on Monday, according to Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan.
The club is located near the middle of a large shopping center. It is situated next to Hair Pro's Beauty Salon.
Sunday morning after 9, Columbus Police still had the club and a large part of the shopping center parking lot secure with crime scene tape. Police officers were still working inside the club and patrol officers controlled the scene. The sign over the Supper Club's entrance said, "For the grown and sexy."
Five motorcycles, four of them on the sidewalk in front of the club, were inside the police tape.
An officer on the scene said, 'They got trapped inside the crime scene."
