BHR HollyWood Report......
HB60, the new controversial gun law
The new gun law, individuals are allowed to carry guns into bars and some government buildings. The law allows religious leaders to decide whether they want to allow parishioners to a carry in their designated place of worship. School districts will be able to decide whether or not they’ll allow personnel to carry firearms under certain conditions.

In addition, the law forbids people from bringing guns “beyond the airport security screening checkpoint” however, licensed gun holders will be allowed to carry their firearms in the “airport drive, general parking area, walkway, or shops and areas of the terminal that are outside the screening checkpoint and that are normally open to unscreened passengers or visitors to the airport.”

The Slow Poke law, HB 459
The new “Slowpoke Law” makes it a state offense for slower drivers to use left-hand traffic lanes. Acceptable speeds will be posted on all roadways. This law will not apply during significant weather events, traffic, passing, on toll ways or when in compliance with another state law, like the “Move Over Law.”

SB 136, new boat law
Another law, SB 136, places regulation on traffic along Georgia’s waterways. The law states that those born on or after January 1, 1998 must complete a boater education course before operating a boat on public water in the State of Georgia. The class will teach boaters things like: life jacket safety, the 100-foot law, right of ways and other rules. Boaters caught driving a boat without completing the course will be cited.
