BHR HollyWood Reports......Alabama rising junior running back Kenyan Drake was arrested early Saturday morning and charged with one misdemeanor count of obstructing governmental operations. |

Drake's vehicle was parked inside a crime scene and he ignored orders to stay outside the scene, Tuscaloosa Police Spokesman Sgt. Brent Blankley told Tuscaloosa Media.
"He was trying to cross a crime scene," Blankley said. "We had a shooting and his vehicle was parked inside the crime scene. We told him that he could not get his vehicle and he tried to cross the crime scene anyway so he could get his vehicle. Officers arrested him for obstructing government operations."

"I'm aware of the situation with Kenyan and will handle it once I've had a chance to review all of the information and talk to the appropriate people," Saban said.
Officers were working a shooting outside Kennedy's Bar in Tuscaloosa when a shooting occurred at approximately 12:50 a.m., according to a release from the department.

"While investigators were working on the crime scene Kenyan Adam Drake told officers his vehicle was parked inside the crime scene and he wanted to get his vehicle. Officers told him he would not be able to get his vehicle until the scene was released by Tuscaloosa County Homicide. Drake became upset and went through the crime scene tape and entered the crime scene after being told not to by officers. Officers immediately took the suspect into custody and charged him with Obstructing Governmental Operations."
Drake's bond was set at $1,000, and he has secured a bondsman, according to the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office. As of 4:30 p.m., the listing for Drake has been removed from the jail database, meaning he would have bonded out.
According to the criminal code of Alabama, obstructing governmental operations is defined by the following:
(a) A person commits the crime of obstructing governmental operations if, by means of intimidation, physical force or interference or by any other independently unlawful act, he:
(1) Intentionally obstructs, impairs or hinders the administration of law or other governmental function; or
(2) Intentionally prevents a public servant from performing a governmental function.
(b) This section does not apply to the obstruction, impairment or hindrance of the making of an arrest.
(c) Obstructing governmental operations is a Class A misdemeanor.
Drake has rushed for 975 yards and 13 touchdowns in two seasons. He ran for 694 yards and eight touchdowns last year while serving as T.J. Yeldon's primary backup until Derrick Henry took that role in the Sugar Bowl.
