 'Elmo' Superstar Kevin Clash accused in fifth lawsuit

BHR HollyWood Reports The former voice of Elmo, Kevin Clash is being sued again. This is the fifth lawsuit against Clash.


Another man is suing Kevin Clash, 52, accusing him of sexual abuse.

In federal documents filed in New York on Tuesday, Kevin Kiadii, 25, says he was 16 when he met the puppeteer who was the voice of Sesame Street's Elmo during an online chat.

Clash sent a car from Manhattan to Brooklyn for Kiadii. "Upon his arrival, Kevin Clash gave Kiadii alcohol and groomed him with attention and affection," the lawsuit says, reports The Baltimore Sun.

The sex was consensual, the lawsuit says, but "as a 16-year-old child, Kiadii was not emotionally or psychologically prepared for a sexual relationship with a grown man in his forties." The age of consent in New York is 17.

Miami attorney Jeff Herman represents Kiadii and four other people who filed similar lawsuits. He acknowledges his clients were compliant but says Clash took advantage of them by playing father to them.

Clash resigned from Sesame Street in November. He has denied any wrongdoing. The latest lawsuit seeks unspecified damages.
