It was there that Rihanna donated $1.75 million in equipment to the hospital’s radiotherapy department, which was renamed the Clara Braithwaite Centre for Oncology and Nuclear Medicine.

“This was my way of giving back to Barbados, in a form of philanthropy, by assisting the QEH in its continued modernization program,” said Rihanna in a statement to E! “I believe that this will have a huge impact on the people of Barbados. This was all done to save lives or at least extend them.”

Such a charitable offering is definitely a true example of what it means to give back during the holiday season and we commend Rihanna for not only giving back to her country, but for helping to save the lives of countless people.
