Usher Forced To Deny Receiving Special
Treatment At Polling Station
The 'Climax' singer visited a polling station in Roswell, Georgia on Tuesday where he voted in the presidential race between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney, but was whisked straight to the front of the queue while others before him were forced to wait.

Angry voters spoke to local TV station WSBTV, claiming that Usher had been given special treatment because of his celebrity status.

However, county election officials issued a statement confirming that Usher was taken to the front of the queue, but denied it was because he is a celebrity.

Angry voters complained after he was rushed to front
"(The) Poll Manager... was directed to ensure that Mr. Raymond's (Usher) presence would not become a distraction by taking necessary measures to move Mr. Raymond through the process as expeditiously as possible," the statement reads.

"At no point was this decision made for preferential treatment, but to minimise and avoid a distraction at the poll."

It isn't known who Usher voted for in the election but many celebrities took to their Twitter accounts to voice their joy that Obama was elected into the White House for a second term.

Obama even managed to knock Justin Bieber off the top spot for having the most likes on Twitter, after his "Four more years" tweet was liked more than 400,000 times on Tuesday night.
