Time To Grow Up...Fat Joe Explains Decision To End Beef With 50 Cent At BET Hip Hop Awards

BHR HollyWood Report Fat Joe has explained why he chose to end his feud with 50 Cent last weekend at the BET Hip-Hop Awards, revealing that Chris Lighty's death triggered his decision.

The 'Another Round' rapper took to the stage with hip-hop mogul Fiddy to perform a special tribute for Lighty, who allegedly committed suicide in September, putting aside their long-running feud.

While many were shocked by the show of unity, Joe explained that there comes a time when he had to put the negativity behind them and show hip-hop how important it is to come together to do this for Chris’, and while we were there 50 whispered some things in my ear that was gentleman like," Joe told Philly station Hot 107.9.

"He just said the right things man, where you know a handshake [was] involved and that was that."
"It just took two grown men to just say ‘this is for Chris Lighty, this is for hip-hop, let’s move on with our lives."

The Chris Lighty tribute will be screened during an airing of the award ceremony in the US on Tuesday, October 11 on BET at 8pm EST.
