About Time!!!! Michael Vick Admits Owning Dog Despite Animal Cruelty Past

BHR HollyWood Reports Michael Vick has revealed that he has a pet dog despite his past history of cruelty to animals.

The Philadelphia Eagles player served a year and a half in jail in 2007 for his involvement in a dog fighting ring which he admitted to funding.
After the baller posted a Twitter photo that showed a box of dog food in the background, speculation mounted over whether the star owns an animal, eventually forcing him to confirm the rumors and tell TMZ:
"Yeah, we have a dog."
In a statement released by the player's publicist, Vick also expressed that the animal is being well looked after.
"I understand the strong emotions by some people about our family's decision to care for a pet. As a father, it is important to make sure my children develop a healthy relationship with animals."

"Our pet is well cared for and loved as a member of our family."

Adding: "This is an opportunity to break the cycle. To that end, I will continue to honor my commitment to animal welfare and be an instrument of positive change."
