He Wanted To Help After Evelyn Lozada Assault... Reggie Bush Says He 'Could Have Saved' Chad Johnson

BHR HollyWood Report Reggie Bush believes that he could have helped save his former Miami Dolphins teammate Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson before he was dropped from the team.

Chad allegedly assaulted his estranged wife Evelyn Lozada three weeks ago and was arrested and bailed in connection with the incident. Just a day after the assault took place, Chad was called into Philbin's office where he was told he would no longer be playing with the team he joined in June.

During a recent episode of Hard Knocks, Reggie and teammates Karlos Dansby and Jake Long, sat down with Philbin to discuss the sudden departure of Chad, with Reggie explaining that they could have done more to prevent the situation.

"Hey coach, this is not necessarily an attempt to try get Chad back, it's more so just for the guys in leadership positions to have a system that we can go by," Reggie said.

"If there's a guy that's in trouble, if we can do something to help him out or set some parameters or guidelines for him before you guys can make a decision -- if we can help him out in some kind of way -- because with Chad, this is obviously coming out of the situation -- given what happened with him."

"Obviously since he got here it was a little bit of a media mess and we felt like maybe that if we could step in as a group from a leadership standpoint maybe we would have been able to save him," he continued.

While Chad is still part of the NFL, his future and what team he will be transferred to are still unclear.

Do you agree with Reggie that they should have done more to help Chad or was it a long time coming?  I'm Big Blac This Is Your BHR HollyWood Report
