Nas Speaks On Kelis' Reaction To 'Life Is Good' Album

BHR HollyWood Reports Nas has spoken out about his relationship with Kelis, and how she felt about his new Life Is Good album.

The rapper's album has received critical acclaim, with most people tuning in to listen out for truths about his failed marriage to singer Kelis. Fans don't have to look very far because Nas can be seen holding Kelis' bright green wedding dress, which she left in his house when they divorced, on the album cover.

Nas reveals Kelis didn't have a problem with him splashing details of their doomed marriage on his latest record, but wanted to know why he did it.

"She wanted to hear from me what it meant. I told her, basically it’s life. It’s wins, it’s losses, but life goes on.

 And this is a part of my life, a part of her life and she was a part of my life. It’s my story," Nas told Bossip.

"This particular story has never really been done [in hop hop]. I said this is fresh, this is new, and she really appreciates it and loved the concept. She thought it was pretty dope."
