Is He Right? Timbaland On Drake’s Aaliyah Project: ‘It Should Be With Me & Missy’

BHR HollyWood Reports There’s no secret of Canadian rapper Drake’s obsession with late R&B singer Aaliyah, with the ‘Motto’ hitmaker reportedly recruited to executive produce her post-human album - but now producer Timbaland has claimed that project wouldn’t be right without himself and Missy Elliot.

During an interview with Power 105’s The Breakfast Club, Timbland claimed that Drake’s upcoming project would be ill-concieved without input from himself or rapper Missy Elliot, who were close to the singer.

Said the record-producer/songwriter,
''I know they trying to drop some Aaliyah records, but if he do it, it should be with me and Missy. The proper way for him to do that would be me, him and Missy to be all on the record. But to put it on his record, would just not be right.''

Drake first sent the rumours abuzz back in March when he mentioned to DJ Tim Westwood during an interview that he had something in store involving Aaliyah.

He has also previously sampled her hit 'At Your Best (You Are Love) on his song 'Unforgettable,' as well as featuring her in a montage during his Club Paradise tour – and even recently added a tattoo in tribute to the 22-year-old on his ribcage.

But with his minimal production experience, should the YMCMB star reconsider his options and include Aaliya’s longtime collaborators Timbaland and Missy, both of whom have produced hits for the ‘Rock the Boat’ star?

Drake will reportedly debut his new single, complete with Aaliyah’s vocals, at this weekend’s OVO Fest in Toronto.  I'm Big Blac this is your BHR HollyWood Report
