According WLTZ 38 News in Columbus Ga has Shine the Light on Phenix City, AL President of the Phenix City School Board has announced he wants to run for the city's top position.
During a speech to a packed out Central Activities Center on Monday, Eddie Lowe declared his intention to run for the Mayor of Phenix City.
Lowe says, "If you have any leader who is in a leadership position, if he or she is guided by their own interests and desires, they are not a leader, You have to have the holistic approach for what is best for the people that you are responsible for and that's what I always try to do. Because again at the end of the day, its not about you, its about us." Current Mayor Sonny Coulter is not running for re-election. I'm Big Blac this is your BHR HollyWood Reports

Lowe has served as the president of the school board for the past year since being re-appointed to the position by City Council.
More than seven people took to the microphone to voice their support for Lowe.
