Oprah Winfrey Sparks Outrage With Stereotypical Documentary On Indi

BHR HollyWood Reports Oprah Winfrey has caused outrage after airing a two-part documentary on India, which has been deemed stereotypical.
The TV talk show queen travelled to India to film two episodes of Oprah's Next Chapter, but failed to portray a correct image of the country. During her time there, Oprah met a family of five living in a 10-foot-by-10-foot room in a Mumbai slum, Bollywood aristocrats and celebrities Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan.
However, most were less than impressed with the way their country came across and aired their views on Twitter.
"The avg American thinking of India as a place with snake charmers and elephants as main mode of transport, I can understand. But Oprah???" one astonished user wrote.
"Honestly, this Oprah winfrey has made such a royal fool of herself with this," she added.
According to Twitter user Garji Gupta, the show portrayed "an unflattering, outmoded, selective and cliched" representation of India. He was also less than impressed with shots of roadside cows chomping on garbage and roads choked with traffic."
Meanwhile, another Twitter user remarked: "You still eat with your hands? – The shocking arrogance of a clueless rich woman."
Oprah is yet to comment on the issue. Did you watch Oprah's India special? Were you offended?  I'm Big Blac this is your BHR HollyWood Report
