Jennifer Hudson Briefly Called Off Engagement After 'Suffering Doubts' Plans Are Back On!

Jennifer Hudson is said to have briefly called off her engagement to David Otunga earlier this year after suffering doubts about their relationship.

The Academy award-winning actress has been under an intense amount of stress in recent months during the trial of William Balfour over the murders of her family members. Sources say this accompanied with the pressure of trying to organise the wedding became too much for the actress and singer and she began questioning whether she was marrying David for the right reasons.

"Jennifer started feeling like it just wasn’t right," a source told RadarOnline.

"So many bad things have happened since they got engaged in 2008 that have prevented them from finally getting married, and she was worried that she was just trying too hard to make something happen that wasn’t meant to be."

Apparently, Jennifer even handed back her engagement ring to the lawyer turned boxer, but had a change of heart after the trial ended.

"Jennifer and David quietly called off the wedding a few months ago and she even returned her ring to him," the insider added.

"She was extremely stressed out and processing a lot of emotions about the murder of her family after the trial ended, and she just cracked. After things settled down, she realized that he was her rock and that she wanted to spend her life with him and keep building their family together. She is more sure than ever now that she is ready to get married."
